چکیده

The high concentration of sulphates is detrimental to the infrastructure wastewater treatment plants. Hence in this study, we present application electrocoagulation sludge as an adsorbent remove from industrial effluents before they are released back environment. contains iron and aluminium cations cationic complexes that precipitate water. Corrugated sheet was used a sacrificial electrode during (EC) generate sludge. FTIR, XRD, SEM, TEM, Zeta Potential were characterize following parameters: contact time, pH, initial concentration, dosage optimized 120 min, 2, 100 mg/L 150 mg, respectively. For synthetic water, sulphate removal 99.1%, whereas for real water it found be 98.7%. adsorption capacity EC 66.76% 2 h under acidic conditions. Langmuir isotherm fitted better than Freundlich isotherm. This confirmed homogenous distribution active sites on At different EC’s sludge, pseudo-second order kinetic model produced best fitting experimental results which ions by chemisorption. approach (method) useful purifying discharged into

Adsorptive Removal of Dye from Industrial Effluents Using Natural Iraqi Palygorskite Clay as Low-cost Adsorbent

Palygorskite clay has been investigated as low cost and ecofriendly adsorbent for the removal Basic Red 2(BR-2) from aqueous solution. Batch adsorption studies are carried out by observing effect of amount of adsorbent dose, contact time, pH, initial concentration of ( BR-2) and particle size of adsorbent on the adsorption capacity of the adsorbent were studied. Adsorption data fits the Langmui...

Color Removal from Simulated Textile Effluents Using Clean Electrocoagulation Technique

The present work was directed toward the successful ability of electerocoagulation to remove color from synthetic and simulated textile effluent by aluminum/iron electrodes. Two representative reactive dyes were selected for the synthetic dye system, a black dye alone and mixed dye (black, blue, red, 1:1:1 vol/vol). Several important operating parameters such as electrode material, initial pH(3...
